Tasting Notes

Pale light straw with clear hue. A perfumed nose of gooseberry, citrus peel with hints of fresh cut grass. The palate is clean and zesty, with abundant tropical and citrus fruit flavours. Best consumed young and fresh with a good chill.

Winemaking Report

Gentle pressing and free run juices create the base of this wine. Traditionally fermented and matured in stainless steel at between 12 and 14-degree Celsius to ensure vibrancy of fruit, no malolactic fermentation was done to ensure the zesty acidity and intense fruit flavours shine in our wine.

Vintage Conditions

Harvest commenced three weeks later than usual due to the cooler temperatures and delayed ripening. This did result in some good parcels of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc harvested which showed great early fruit flavor development. For reds, Shiraz is the stand out variety; though reduced tonnages we are confident of achieving some good quality due to selective harvesting. Similar with Cabernet Sauvignon there are some parcels which are showing good potential. Overall, it was a challenging vintage, the most difficult in the past decade. But what we have managed to produce shows wonderful elegance.
